About Kimer Med
Our dedicated team of scientists is committed to an audacious vision: an end to viral disease.
Rick Kiessig - Kimer Med Co-Founder & CEO
“We have an opportunity to relieve the tremendous pain and suffering caused by viral diseases. I can't imagine anything more important, exciting or impactful.”
About Kimer Med
Kimer Med was founded in 2020 to pursue a vision to end the suffering caused by viral disease. We aim to do this by developing a family of safe and effective broad-spectrum antiviral therapeutics. We are a small but growing biotechnology company with a team of eight currently.
Our headquarters are in the beautiful seaside city of Nelson, New Zealand. Although not well known as a biotech or life sciences hub, Nelson is home to more scientists per capita than any other city in New Zealand, thanks largely to the establishment of the Cawthron Institute in 1919.
